The Brooklyn Nets forward was fined $5,000 for flopping in Tuesday's
95-90 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, becoming the first player to
receive such a penalty, the NBA announced Wednesday. Evans was penalized
for veering off and throwing his hands up after receiving a bump from
Lakers forward Metta World Peace in the third quarter.
Both World Peace and Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni objected to officials after a foul was called.
